Core Responsibilities
- Dispense prescribed medications accurately to outpatients and inpatients under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist.
- Provide clear, empathetic instructions to patients regarding medication dosage, administration route, and potential side effects.
- Monitor, organize, and manage pharmacy inventory, including tracking expiry dates and flagging low-stock items.
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly labeled medication storage areas in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Assist in compounding medications and packaging pharmaceutical products safely.
- Perform administrative tasks, including processing bills, managing pharmacy records, and handling point-of-sale systems.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Approved Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies from a recognized College of Health Technology.
- Licensure: Valid and current registration/practicing license with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
- Experience: Minimum of 1–3 years of post-qualification clinical pharmacy experience. Experience in a busy private hospital environment is a strong advantage.
- Competencies: Excellent numerical accuracy, familiarity with drug brand names, and strong customer service skills.
- Work Style: High level of integrity, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
