3. Core Responsibilities
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests across clinical chemistry, haematology, microbiology, immunology, and blood transfusion science.
- Prepare, calibrate, and maintain sophisticated medical laboratory equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Execute strict Internal Quality Control (IQC) and External Quality Assurance (EQA) procedures to ensure precise test results.
- Collect and process patient biological specimens (such as blood, tissue, and body fluids) safely, adhering to standard safety protocols.
- Validate, interpret, and accurately log test data into the laboratory information system for clinical review.
- Manage laboratory inventory, monitoring reagent shelf life and ordering clinical supplies proactively to avoid downtime.
4. Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science or Associate of Medical Laboratory Science from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Valid and current practicing license registered with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
- Experience: Post-internship experience. Candidates with 0–2 years of post-NYSC experience are highly encouraged to apply.
- Competencies: Strong analytical abilities, sharp attention to detail, and a strict commitment to biosafety guidelines.
- Work Style: Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume diagnostic environment.
